We offer two types of home energy
evaluations.
Both can be performed in any season.

Home Energy
Efficiency Inspections
The Inspection:
Tri-County has 5 Certified Energy Inspectors and has partnered with
CMC Energy Services to provide Energy
Efficiency Inspections. We examine and measure all energy related parts of the
house. Over 100 items are reviewed and the data recorded.
The Report:
The home energy "Tune-Up" report lists all major opportunities for
improving the energy efficiency and comfort of your home. The report estimates
the cost and savings for each recommendation and notes additional ways to save
energy.
Implementation:
The report will provide access to a database of suppliers and contractors who
can "tune-up" your home. Direct telephone access to CMC professionals
to answer your home energy questions is included. Your inspector is also
available to answer any questions.
Financing:
The report provides information on financing for homeowners wanting to make
this investment without paying for it all at once. The report also identifies
the group of recommendations where the monthly savings exceeds the costs of
financing.

Energy Efficiency
Audits
This includes the Energy Efficiency Inspection and a
"Blower Door Test".
A blower doors provides a way to quantify air flow and the resulting heat loss,
along with a way to pinpoint specific leaks.
A "blower door" consists of a powerful variable-speed fan, mounted in
an adjustable panel that temporarily fits in a doorway, that is used to move
air through the building in a controlled fashion. Pressure gauges connected to
the fan measure the rate of airflow required to maintain the building at a
certain pressure. This controlled airflow is used to find specific leaks.

on our home, our first call was to PECO to see if they had any recommendations
(which they did not). I was fortunate to stumble across you through an Internet
search, but I imagine you could gain easy access to a large clientele should
you partner with such energy providers. I am sure there is significant and
growing demand for such a service.
